LiDAR Drone Australia provides professional aerial and vehicle-mounted LiDAR services for clients across New South Wales and throughout Australia.

As a CASA-authorised drone operator, we combine specialist LiDAR technology with practical field experience to deliver accurate, reliable point cloud data for surveying, engineering, infrastructure, environmental, forestry, mining and land development projects.

LICENSED AND INSURED

LiDAR Drone Australia operates in conjunction with its parent company, Australian Aerial Imagery Pty Ltd, providing fully authorised professional drone services across Australia.

Our operations are conducted under a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Remote Operator's Certificate (ReOC), with approvals allowing us to operate aircraft up to 25 kg. The owner of the business also serves as Chief Remote Pilot, providing direct oversight of operational safety, regulatory compliance and flight planning.

We carry up to $24 million in public liability insurance, and our field personnel hold the relevant construction industry White or Green Cards required for work on many commercial, infrastructure and construction sites.

Safety and compliance are an important part of every project we undertake. From the initial planning through to field operations and final delivery, our work is carried out with careful consideration of aviation regulations, site requirements and the safety of our clients, personnel and the public.

Every LiDAR project is different.

Terrain, vegetation, site access, required accuracy, project size and final deliverables can vary considerably from one project to another. For this reason, we do not take a one-size-fits-all approach.

OUR BACKGROUND

Australian Aerial Imagery Pty Ltd has been providing professional aerial imaging and drone services since 2014. As drone technology continued to develop, the company recognised the increasing value of LiDAR and the opportunities it could provide for surveying, engineering, infrastructure, environmental and land management projects.

In response, Australian Aerial Imagery invested in specialist LiDAR equipment, software, training and operational capability.

The investment was not simply about purchasing new technology. Producing reliable LiDAR data requires an understanding of flight planning, sensor configuration, positioning systems, field procedures, data processing and quality control. Developing that capability takes experience and a consistent approach from the initial planning stage through to final delivery.

To provide this specialised service properly, LiDAR Drone Australia was established as a dedicated division of Australian Aerial Imagery.

Today, LiDAR Drone Australia focuses on aerial and vehicle-mounted LiDAR projects, with our team managing the process from project planning and data capture through to processing and delivery.

Our experience covers a broad range of applications, including surveying, engineering, infrastructure, environmental assessment, forestry, agriculture, mining and land development. We work with surveyors, engineers, project managers, environmental consultants, developers and other professionals who require accurate and dependable geospatial information.
